The Vintage House That Could Continued! Dining Room Before & After...

The grey and white combo was a safe and tasteful choice when we bought this house 14 years ago but when our recent improvements began I knew this room needed A. Major. Refresh. Initially I dreamed of traditional yellow or chic blue walls with white trim and beadboard but reigned myself in when I was reminded by Smart People (my best friend Nicole…my mom…the expert paint lady at Cox Paint…) that neutral was the way to go for the sake of my future renter’s unknown decorating style. After testing (obsessively staring at) numerous creams and whites I went with Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace on walls and ceiling and Dunn Edwards Lead glass (332) on bead board & trim. I found the West Elm chandelier on eBay for a nice price and continued the same roman shades from Home Depot as the living room. Simple, clean and bright!
